Most people who come to me have spent years feeling like something is wrong with them.

Wrong for wanting what they want.

Wrong for not wanting what they're "supposed" to.

Wrong for even thinking about bringing it up.

Nothing is wrong with you. But a lot is wrong with the messages you were given.

My Story:

My path here wasn't linear and that's probably why this work matters so much to me.

In 2001, I was a NYC sales executive in fashion when the world as I knew it changed on September 11th. That day shifted everything. I left the industry, earned my Master of Social Work degree from New York University in 2004, and spent years working with clients across clinical settings helping people find the courage to examine their pasts and build something better.

What I kept seeing, over and over, was this: Shame. Specifically, shame about sex, desire, the body, and intimacy. And almost no one in the clinical world was equipped to address it with the depth and directness it deserved.

So I went deeper. I earned my PhD in Clinical Sexology from The Modern Sex Therapy Institutes, researching the relational effects of pornography on young adults. I became an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. I trained in EMDR through EMDRIA, CBT through Columbia University, and DBT through Behavior Tech.

And then I stopped waiting for someone else to have these conversations publicly and started having them myself.

My Mission:

I built The Pleasure Practice because I believe comprehensive, shame-free sexuality education isn't a luxury. It's a foundation. It's essential for healthy relationships. for embodied living, for women who are done being handed a script and ready to write their own.

When I'm not in session, filming my show or on stage, I'm chasing my daughter across the country to volleyball tournaments or spending weekends in New York City with my partner — living proof that a full, joyful, connected life is absolutely possible.
