Specialized Therapy

You shouldn't live in the shadows

We've been conditioned to whisper about the thing that is most fundamental to our humanity. To feel shame about our desires. To perform instead of feel.

The Pleasure Practice exists to change that. Through therapy, education, and conversations that go where most people won't, I am building a world where women know their bodies, own their desires, and stop apologizing for both.

This isn't just therapy. It's a reclamation.

Sex Therapy

Most people don't talk about sex — even with their therapist. I do. Whether you're navigating mismatched desire, recovering from sexual trauma, working through body image issues that show up in the bedroom, or trying to understand your own sexuality more deeply, sex therapy offers a space to finally say the thing out loud. I work with individuals and couples, and I provide affirming, nonjudgmental care for all identities and relationship structures.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)

Trauma doesn't stay in the past — it lives in the body. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most evidence-based approaches available for processing traumatic memories and breaking free from the patterns they create. My training through EMDRIA allows me to integrate this powerful modality into trauma-focused treatment, helping clients move from stuck to forward.

Beyond Monogamy: Love Without The Script

More couples than ever are questioning the relationship structures they inherited — and very few therapists are equipped to help them do it without judgment. Whether you're exploring ethical non-monogamy, navigating polyamory, or simply trying to understand if traditional monogamy is working for you, this is a space with zero bias and serious clinical grounding.

I don't advocate for one structure over another. I help you figure out what's true for you — and build the communication skills and agreements to pursue it with integrity and clear eyes.

Perinatal Mood Disorder Support

The transition into parenthood is one of the most profound — and underacknowledged — times a person can face. Nearly 20% of new mothers and 10% of new fathers experience perinatal mood disorders. This is not weakness. This is biology, circumstance, and a culture that vastly under-supports new parents. I offer a compassionate, evidence-informed space to navigate depression, anxiety, and the complicated emotions of early parenthood.

Pre & Post Divorce Counseling

Divorce is one of the most disruptive transitions a person or family can experience. Whether you've made the decision or are still navigating what's right, counseling can lower conflict, improve communication, and help everyone involved move through the process with more clarity and less damage. Available for individuals, couples, and families — in any combination.

Clinical

Supervision

For emerging clinicians navigating complex cases and professional growth, I offer warm, collaborative clinical supervision built on trust, openness, and genuine investment in your development. My goal is to be the supervisor I wish I'd had.

FAQ's

How long are sessions and how frequently will we meet?
Sessions typically occur weekly on a mutually agreed upon day/time though scheduling changes may be accommodated. Each session lasts for 50 minutes.

What is your policy around confidentiality?
Confidentiality is taken extremely seriously.  New Jersey state law is very clear regarding the confidentiality of communications between a client and therapist. Information is never disclosed without explicit written permission, with the following important exceptions. A therapist is legally required to report the following:
-  Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
-  If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s (danger to others)
-  If a client intends to harm himself or herself (danger to self)

How much does therapy cost?
Once it is decided what type of therapy you are seeking (ie. individual, couples, family) as well as the frequency of the therapy you would like to engage in, I will send you my fee schedule as well as information about the rest of my policies, some of which are summarized here.

Do you accept insurance?
I participate as an Out-of-Network provider only. Many insurance plans allow you to select an out-of-network provider and therefore you may be eligible for reimbursement. In most cases, I am able to bill the insurance company for direct reimbursement to you.  Payment is due by cash, check, Venmo or Zelle at the time of each session. I do accept credit card payments, which incur a 3.5% processing fee.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
You will receive a text or email reminder 48 hours before every session to avoid forgetting about your appointment.  However, should you need to cancel your session unexpectedly, at least 24 hours notice is required.  For cancellation with less than 24 hours notice clients are financially responsible for their missed session. Rescheduling within the same week may be an option (availability permitting) and phone sessions are available on a limited basis.

What is the No Surprises Act?

As of Jan. 1, 2022 you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate about your anticipated fees. This will be provided for you at the time of your first session.
